Job Overview:

The Autism Registry Assistant is a role for individuals who thrive in structured, detail-oriented environments and excel at ensuring accuracy and consistency in repetitive tasks. This role involves processing autism registrations, maintaining compliance with state regulations, and supporting families through effective communication and resource coordination. The position aligns with a person with the ability to focus on detailed work and approach tasks methodically.

Qualifications:

Required:

HS DiplomaProficient in data management tools, including Microsoft Excel and electronic medical records like Epic Experience in data entry, healthcare coordination, or administrative roles

Preferred:

Bachelor s degree Knowledge of autism diagnoses and related care pathways

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions remove when posting):

Monday Friday9:00am 5:30pm during training. Option to start earlier once training is complete.

Essential Functions:

Accurately complete New Jersey Autism Registration Information Forms using information from Epic and other databases, ensuring a systematic and thorough approach Regularly notify families of the registration process mail Input and validate child registration details in the BDARS system, ensuring all required fields are completed Log registration details and communications in Epic, including registry IDs and contact history, keeping records up to date and accessible for the team Work closely with the Autism Social Worker to ensure families receive timely referrals and additional resources Keep Excel spreadsheet files updated and accurately reflect the current registration status Review and cross-check patient records during monthly audits to ensure all eligible children are registered and receiving appropriate referrals Run monthly reports in Epic to identify newly diagnosed children with autism and verify registration status, ensuring no patient is overlooked Ensure all registrations comply with New Jersey Department of Health regulations Handle sensitive patient information. Maintain strict confidentiality and securely discard completed forms. Other tasks as assigned by Autism Program Coordinator or other related CSH management.
