Apply now! **Location:** 850 76th Street S.W. - Byron Center, Michigan 49315 **Job Description:** **Position Summary:** This role is responsible to provide independent, objective consulting designed to add value and improve company operations. Participate in, or may lead, the systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. Evaluates risk, executes audit tests, identifies areas for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness and works with management to develop action plans to ensure risks are effectively mitigated. **Here’s what you’ll do:** + Participate in, or may lead, the identification and evaluation of the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and the development of audit programs to effectively and efficiently test key controls identified. + Identify and evaluate risk, execute audit tests, determine areas for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness and work with management to develop action plans to ensure risks are effectively mitigated. + Maintain current knowledge of legal regulations, industry trends and best Accounting/Audit practices (operating and financial activities); make recommendations to improve current programs and processes and to ensure company legal compliance. + Monitor changes in the regulatory environment to assist in risk assessment and evaluation. Conduct interviews and/or research to gain an understanding of the business unit(s) being audited. + Assist in providing risk assessment and mitigation education to company associates. + Perform moderate to complex audit testing to determine the design and operating effectiveness of the key controls identified. + Gather adequate supporting documentation for findings and opinions and document testing approach and conclusions in working papers. + Identify and document issues arising from audit work and present findings to senior management. + Partner with business areas to develop suggestions and creative recommendations for improvement indepartmentsprocesses, efficiency and effectiveness; develop leading practices within the audit industry. + Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. **Here’s what you’ll need:** + Bachelor’s Degree (Required) in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. + Certified Public Accountant (Preferred). + TwoyearsofFinancial Accounting and/or Auditing experience. + Experience preferably in public accounting. CPA, CIA or CISA preferred, or work towards certification preferred. + Must have working knowledge of auditing and fraud investigations, and understanding of operational, financial and regulatory risks and risk mitigation. + Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills. + Strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize. + Ability to work in a fast paced/changing environment and work flexible hours to meet deadlines as necessary. + Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point). + Ability to travel up to 25%, including overnight, to companylocations. **Physical Requirements:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
