The difference you’ll make:
Support the delivery of multiple assurance activities through effective execution of audits to assess the risk and control environment and ensuring that all work undertaken meets agreed timescales and complies with quality requirements.
Take full responsibility and ownership for effectively managing workload & having consideration to the other activities, proactively escalating challenges & potential barriers which may impact timely delivery of the audit.
Effectively demonstrate an understanding of the risks within the audits & any broader areas of responsibility and continuous monitoring to identify emerging / future (including “unknown”) risks.
Meeting Quality Assurance expectations, adhering to Internal Audit methodology to deliver audit work to a high standard from planning all the way to reporting, including the use of professional judgement.
Contribute actively through strong bespoke assurance to transformational activities and implementation of the agile execution approach.
Building effective relationships, managing and influencing key stakeholders across the business and collaborating with other teams as required.
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
Subject Matter Expert in Credit Risk with a clear ability to demonstrate understanding of related risks and controls and desire to apply these skills to audit execution.
Evidence of proven assurance / monitoring / audit skills including assessment of risk and control.
Ability to work independently and effectively in an evolving and challenging environment.
It would also be nice for you to have:
Experience gained within a first- or second-line Credit Risk function even if specific assurance/ monitoring/ audit experience is not held;
Relevant risk management related professional qualification (Institute of Risk Management.
Professional audit related qualification (i.e. CMIIA, ACA, ACCA, etc).

This role is based in Milton Keynes
We want our people to thrive at work and home and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
