Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Auditing Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Fredericksburg, Virginia. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting revenue audits, reconciling financial discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in auditing and proficiency in QuickBooks and spreadsheet tools.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough reviews of revenue audits to identify missing payments and discrepancies.
• Reconcile invoices and purchase orders by correcting mismatched data and reapplying payments as needed.
• Assist with inventory reviews to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to maintain financial accuracy.
• Utilize QuickBooks and pivot tables to prepare financial reports and analyze data.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate account balances.
• Generate detailed audit reports that highlight findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve outstanding payables and streamline financial processes.
• Support the preparation and organization of tax audits and compliance documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in auditing, financial reporting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online for financial management.
• Strong skills in creating and analyzing pivot tables and spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Expertise in bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Ability to generate comprehensive audit reports and interpret financial data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to work effectively within a team.
