Abbott Diabetes Care has opened  a new site, in Kilkenny, that is  at the forefront of Diabetes care with the latest technology, to manufacture FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre systems.

As an Audit Team Lead you will support and/or lead on assigned internal audits, supplier audits and external audit processes.

It will be a very big plus if you can bring experience in developing projects or sites from square one.

 

As Audit Quality Engineer, working across our network of Abbott sites as well as our broader span of supplier locations, you will:

Support Audit Readiness activities for external audits including training staff /guidance in preparation of external audits

Support compliance gap management activities e.g. compliance risk management, gap closure, etc.

Identify risks to the division, and strategize and prioritise resolutions to address compliance gaps.

Track regulations and industry standards revisions, and evaluate and communicate the impact and compliance changes required of these revisions with the related departments.

Prepare, reviews and analyse associated metrics and data.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Educated to degree level (or equivalent), preferably in a Science, Technology or Engineering discipline, and will bring a breadth of experience in the internal auditing field as a Qualified Lead Auditor.

Preference will be given to those with experience in Medical Devices, MDR/IVDR, ISO13485, ISO9001, and 21 CFR.

Able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and bring proven of experience of creating a culture of audits being value-add activities, influencing others on improvements and actions, and increasing compliance awareness across groups.

Any experience in the wider Quality arena will be beneficial.
