PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) is a part of the Office of the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Board area and reports to both SAP SE’s Global CEO and the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board. Our mission is to advance SAP’s business goals by promoting a culture of integrity, and by mitigating a defined set of legal risks. Our focus includes compliance with the FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act), UK (United Kingdom) Bribery Act, and other global anti-corruption and bribery laws.
Within the OEC, is the Partner Compliance & Third-Party Audit Team which is responsible for managing audits and compliance assessments of SAP’s business partners. SAP executes audit clauses in the agreement with our partners and engages independent audit firms to perform the audit fieldwork. The Third-Party Audit Team works closely with the external auditor and the local OEC Field Compliance Officers (FCO) to ensure the audit is conducted as planned, the report is generated, and any risks identified are mitigated.
YOUR ROLE
The position reports to the Manager, Third Party Compliance and is supervised by the Team Lead on daily work and tasks. Team members also contribute to a wide array of global team projects.
The Third-Party Compliance Audit Data Provisioning Associate/Specialist will be expected to support the independent audit firms with the preparation and delivery of SAP data and supporting documents to enable the audit fieldwork. The candidate will support data provisioning work for all third-party audits globally.
Primary tasks (including but not limited to below):
Independently download, review, and provide SAP data and documentation to external audit providers. Serves as liaison between SAP and the external auditor teams requesting supporting documents for audits and answering follow up questions to clarify information in the documentation and explain SAP processes. Proactively highlight concerns or discrepancies noted in the data and documents. Develops collaborative work relationships within own team and cross-functional. Communicate within works assignment clearly and in a timely manner. Serves as a trusted advisor and functional peer to other teams at the organization. Work proactively, with full responsibility to set priorities, and full accountability for data accuracy and quality. Onboarding of new team members when required and being a good role model for new joiners.EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION / SKILLS & COMPETENCIES (including but not limited to below):
Willingness to learn how to work with SAP systems, especially finding and retrieving sales transaction data and accounting documents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders Experience working in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel (excel training will not be provided) Understanding of accounting principles, i.e., debits, credits, receivables, payables, etc. Hands-on with extreme attention to detail and written documentation, likes to work with numbers. Well organized, self-starter, self-disciplined, good in following-up on open topics, and problem solving. Ability to do in-depth research and summarize the findings in a precise manner. Willingness to constantly learn about new tools, reports, and country-specific documentation of business transactions. Fluent business English, any additional language(s) will be considered as an advantage.
WORK EXPERIENCE
0-3 years’ experience in a relevant function in the internal control system environment like Internal Audit or Finance Organization, preferably in an SAP internal team like Commercial Finance, O2I, etc. Bachelor's Degree: areas of specialization could be Finance, Accounting, Business Administratio
