Audit Manager - Public
Description We are looking for a dedicated Audit Associate to join our public accounting team in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on overseeing financial statement audits for non-profit organizations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering strong client relationships. You will collaborate with a team to deliver high-quality assurance services tailored to the unique needs of non-profit entities. Responsibilities: • Lead the planning and execution of financial statement audits for non-profit organizations, including conducting risk assessments and developing audit strategies. • Review audit procedures related to financial data such as cash, receivables, liabilities, expenses, and payroll for accuracy and compliance. • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and reporting requirements specific to non-profit organizations, including Form 990 compliance. • Provide guidance and mentorship to audit associates, ensuring the team meets deadlines and delivers quality work. • Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and clients, preparing detailed reports that highlight key insights. • Collaborate with clients to gather financial data, address discrepancies, and ensure transparency throughout the audit process. • Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and industry trends that impact non-profit organizations. • Uphold ethical accounting practices and ensure adherence to high standards in all audit engagements. • Utilize audit software and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency. • Develop and nurture positive relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and providing reliable support. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Minimum of 2 years of detail-oriented auditing experience, ideally within public accounting or non-profit sectors. • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements for non-profit entities. • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Commitment to ethical accounting practices and continuous skill development.
