They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion.

The TMT Waterfall division is looking for an Experienced Audit Manager with a strong auditing and accounting background as well as specialist knowledge in PCAOB. The ideal candidate will need to have experience on large clients in the TMT industry (i.e. multi-national and/or listed).
Essential skills and experience: Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles, 3 to 4 years post-article Audit experience at a reputable mid-tier or large auditing firm

CA(SA)
Desirable skills or attributes
You completed the CA(SA) qualification
More than 3 years post articles experience working at a reputable mid-tier or large auditing firm
You are technically extremely strong with an excellent working knowledge of:
IFRS Accounting Standards
International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
PCAOB auditing standards
SOX
JSE Listing requirements
Companies Act of South Africa
TMT / CIPS Industry
Experience with working on Foreign Private Issuers (or subsidiaries of US listed entities)
You have experience in managing large multi-location audits and you are very effective in your day-to-day management of clients and component teams (PwC and non-PwC)
Understanding and prior experience on consolidations
Display sound leadership skills
Computer literate with all PwC software (Including Microsoft Suite and Alteryx)
Ability to market PwC services and to establish contacts in the marketplace

Responsibilities
You will audit clients in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications industry as well as other industries such as Commercial and Industrial Products and Services (CIPS).
You are responsible for integrated audits of companies that prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS Accounting Standards and file with the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).
You are responsible for statutory audits of companies that prepare financial statements in accordance with South African law.
You are responsible for audits of private companies that prepare financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
You are responsible for integrated audits of companies that prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS Accounting Standards and file with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) as Foreign Private Issuers (or subsidiaries of US listed entities).
You are responsible for managing audits of non-financial reports (e.g. ESG audits).
You are responsible for the preparation of the audit file for Engagement leader review and assisting in the presentation of the audit findings to management or Board of Directors.
You are responsible for developing new and extend existing relationships with our clients and actively support the client in technical accounting matters.
You are responsible for building client relationships and being involved in audit or other non-audit services audit proposals as required.
You are in the driver seat of your own responsibility, flexibility and development.
You are responsible for monitoring costs and other project economics, including billing and debtors' management.
You are responsible for ensuring compliance with PwC’s risk management processes and compliance with PwC Methodology for your audit engagements.
