Audit Manager (Operational Risk Management)

About this role:

The Audit Manager at Wells Fargo is an Individual Contributor role with no direct reports.  The officer title associated with this role is Vice President given that this role is acting as the Auditor-in-charge, overseeing the work of a team of Audit staff.

Wells Fargo is seeking an Audit Manager, VP as part of our Corporate Risk Audit Team. The team is responsible for providing audit coverage over operational risk management, business group chief risk officers and enterprise risk management.


In this role, you will:

Lead execution of the integrated audit processParticipate in audits in accordance with Wells Fargo Audit Services policyDemonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge and understanding across multiple businesses or develop knowledge in a critical subject matter areaDemonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the financial, operational, technical, and regulatory environment across multiple businesses or develop excellent subject matter knowledge in critical areas of the businessWrite opinions reflecting relevant facts that lead to logical conclusionsEscalate significant risks and loss exposures to appropriate levels of managementEnsure documentation and reporting are ready for review by managers and more experienced managersDemonstrate credible challengeEvaluate and provide appropriate solutions for complex problemsLead multiple concurrent projects that are generally moderate to large in size and moderate to high in complexityIdentify and assess key risks and controls and develop effective test plans for engagements as assigned with limited guidancePresent audit results in an objective and unbiased mannerExhibit appropriate judgment regarding issue notification, issue draft findings to client management, and draft final audit reportsDevelop and maintain excellent business relationships within Internal Audit and with teams companywide.


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Audit, Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Direct experience within Operational Risk Management (2nd Line of Defense) or auditing Operational Risk Management (2nd Line of Defense)Experience at a large financial institution or accounting firmExperience co-leading or leading audits.A BS/BA degree or higherSolid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting toolsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levelsProven ability to effectively lead projects, collect and analyze data, develop and communicate recommendations and provide effective performance feedback to team membersWell-developed planning and organizing skillsProven ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Demonstrate excellent communication and ability to influence changeSelf-awareness, conflict resolution skills, individual accountability and a passion for learning are also criticalCertification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA, Commissioned Bank Examiner designation, or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $217,200.00
