Description

Huntington Bank’s Internal Audit Department is searching for an Auditor with a passion for identifying and mitigating business risk. Learning to serve as an advisor to your audit engagement stakeholders, the Auditor will develop business, industry and regulatory knowledge becoming a solid line of defense against threats who is trusted by colleagues across the bank and external regulators.

From initial scope to final report, you will assist Audit Project Managers in coordinating financial and operational audits that ensure Huntington’s control environment supports sustainable compliance with policies, procedures, and laws. You will collaborate with colleagues across the Internal Audit Department and the wider organization to learn key business processes, test and document results, and communicate with your stakeholders.

The ideal candidate for this job will work with various members of the Internal Audit and Line of Business teams to query and analyze business data, generating testing populations and summaries to assist auditors in evaluating the adequacy of internal controls.  They will be expected to take ownership of tasks and work with peers and management to complete data-related tasks and produce accurate results.  They must have strong written and verbal skills and a customer service focus. The successful candidate will also possess strong interpersonal skills. 

The Audit Data Analyst will:

Assist with planning, developing, and completing data queries and tests in support of control and substantive testing.Interact with Business Unit and IT Auditors while performing their responsibilities.Support audit testing in accordance with department and professional standards.Be challenged to meet deadlines, directly interact with key members of management, and provide dynamic feedback to actively improve evolving processes.Develop key information technology and business relationships for assistance in building audit testing solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degreeMinimum of 2 years of experience as a business analyst, project management, or auditor is required

Preferred Qualifications:

The ability to design and build analytical business and technology reporting to meet identified key indicatorsExperience using business intelligence tools to perform structured problem analysis to identify data anomalies is a preferredBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems and/or Economics with an emphasis in computer science and/or Data Analytics is preferredMaster’s or MBA not required but a plusExperience with SQL and/or SAS is preferred. Other experience with software and programs such as Tableau, Python, SQL Developer, or Monarch is desirableKnowledgeable in data analytics, data governance and information managementAn understanding of ETL process, Data Quality and analysis toolsFamiliarity with Data Warehouse and Data Mart conceptsA strong capability and working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required

Compensation Range:

$57,000-$113,000 annually

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
