Description
We are looking for a Revenue Audit Clerk to join our team in Henderson, Nevada. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the gambling industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic gaming environment while leveraging your auditing and analytical skills. The Revenue Audit Clerk must be willing to work weekends, and work in fast paced environments where you will be handling a large volume of paperwork. The ideal Revenue Audit Clerk will have a recent college degree, or prior experience working in revenue audit, or as an accounting clerk. Prior gaming experience is not required, but highly preferred.
Responsibilities for the Revenue Audit Clerk:
• Perform daily audits of financial transactions, including deposits, payouts, and betting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Review and reconcile revenue data across multiple properties, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Enter alpha-numeric data into spreadsheets and verify balances against computerized systems.
• Analyze betting activity and ensure all transactions align with reported figures, covering sports bets such as parlays, money lines, and spreads.
• Prepare and upload journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Investigate and document exceptions or non-compliance, reporting findings to management and performing follow-ups as needed.
• Ensure adherence to gaming regulations and internal controls, maintaining comprehensive audit documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to review reports, logs, and supporting documentation from various audit areas.
• Promote and uphold company-wide cultural values, supporting a positive and compliant work environment.
• Undertake other related duties as assigned to support audit operations.
Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in auditing or a related field; degree in Accounting, Finance or business-related field highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong data entry skills.
• Ability to understand and apply gaming terminology, including sports betting concepts.
• Familiarity with casino gaming operations and gaming laws is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills.
• Willingness to obtain a Gaming Card if not already in possession.
• Effective communication skills to document findings and interact with management.
