**Additional Information** **Job Number** 25123964 **Job Category** Event Management **Location** The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, PO Box 32348 KY1-1209, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, Cayman Islands, KY1-1209VIEW ON MAP (https://www.google.com/maps?q=The%20Ritz-Carlton%20Grand%20Cayman%2C%20PO%20Box%2032348%20KY1-1209%2C%20Grand%20Cayman%2C%20Cayman%20Islands%2C%20Cayman%20Islands%2C%20KY1-1209) **Schedule** Full Time **Located Remotely?** N **Position Type** Non-Management **POSITION SUMMARY** **_Equipment Operation_** **Tasked with preparing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment to ensure readiness before each event.** **Delivers seamless event execution by setting up, operating, and dismantling basic audiovisual equipment accurately and on schedule, in accordance with technical requirements.** **Quickly identifies and resolves technical issues as they occur to minimize disruptions.** **_Technical Ability._** + **Demonstrates a solid understanding of the technical requirements of the role and possesses foundational skills in troubleshooting and resolving equipment or software issues.** + **Responds to equipment-related challenges and last-minute changes promptly and professionally.** + **A minimum of 3 years of experience in event technology, with expertise in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video, is required.** + **to 4 years of experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.** + Thorough knowledge of all basic and specialized audio-visual equipment to include staging, lighting, audio and video. + Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment including computers, Video projectors, screens, audio, video, and lighting. + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office computer software + Strong knowledge about electricity and power distribution + Basic knowledge of rigging equipment to include truss, lighting. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree is preferred Work is conducted primarily in a hotel setting, often involving exposure to outdoor elements such as heat, dirt, sand, and dust. Noise levels may range from moderate to loud depending on the environment. Team members will operate advanced audiovisual equipment and electrical components and may work at heights using ladders or lifts. Assignments may take place across various hotel areas and locations. Work schedules can include irregular hours, on-call shifts, and availability during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices, and systems. Oversee the set-up of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms. Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational, repair or clean equipment when necessary. Label any broken equipment and communicate problems to manager/supervisor. Tape down and dress all loose wire and cable. Check delivered equipment and room set-up against Banquet Event Order. Communicate any additions or deletions to flowsheets to manager/supervisor. Assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment, up-sell different AV services, and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals. Break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use. Read, understand, and adhere to Marriott Visual Productions (MVP program) SOP book. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Reach, grasp, turn, manipulate, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
