Description We are looking for an experienced Attorney to join a growing, dynamic legal team in Pasadena, California. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, with a focus on business litigation, judgment enforcement, and appellate work. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional legal writing skills, and be eager to contribute to a collegial and growing firm. Responsibilities: • Oversee cases from initiation to resolution, including trial or arbitration. • Conduct extensive legal research and draft high-quality motions, briefs, and other legal documents. • Handle a mix of business litigation (40%), post-judgment enforcement (40%), and appellate matters (20%), with a potential emphasis on post-judgment work. • Prepare and respond to discovery requests, ensuring compliance with all procedural rules. • Take and defend depositions to gather critical case information. • Represent clients in court appearances, including hearings and trials. • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure thorough trial preparation and effective case strategy. • Stay updated on relevant legal precedents and industry developments to strengthen case outcomes. • Provide clear and timely communication with clients regarding case progress and strategies. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, including trial preparation and attendance. • Hold an active license to practice law in the state of California. • Demonstrate expertise in judgment enforcement, business litigation, and appellate work. • Exhibit strong legal research and writing skills, with a commitment to producing high-quality work. • Have experience in drafting motions, briefs, and other litigation documents. • Be proficient in managing discovery, including preparing and responding to discovery requests. • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and colleagues. • Show a proven ability to handle complex litigation matters across various industries.
