Description We are looking for a part-time contract attorney Attorney/Lawyer to join our law firm in San Jose, California. This position involves handling conducting legal research and drafting various legal documents to support post-merger and acquisition disputes. The role offers flexibility, allowing you to work remotely and manage your hours independently. The ideal candidate will have at least 20 hours per week of availability, hold an active CA Bar license and have at least five years of litigation experience. Responsibilities: • Perform in-depth legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation. • Draft legal briefs, motions, and other essential documents required for litigation. • Collaborate with partners to provide research insights and assist with case strategy. • Utilize Relativity software to manage and analyze case-related documents effectively. • Interpret and analyze complex legal issues to provide clear recommendations. • Prepare comprehensive reports and summaries based on document review findings. Requirements Qualifications: • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation or related legal fields. • Must hold an active CA Bar license. • Proficiency in legal research tools, including LexisNexis and Westlaw. • Strong skills in drafting legal documents such as briefs and motions. • Proven ability to work independently and manage flexible hours efficiently.
