Responsibilities: • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail. • Conduct thorough legal research and manage written discovery processes to support case strategies. • Oversee document production and review to ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines. • Assist in taking and defending depositions to gather essential case information. • Collaborate with clients and team members to develop effective litigation strategies. • Represent clients in court proceedings and advocate for their interests effectively. • Provide guidance and mentorship to associates on complex legal matters. • Manage case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and organized. • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes. • Stay updated on legal trends and developments relevant to business litigation. Requirements • Active license to practice law in the state of Maryland. • Proven experience in civil litigation, particularly in business-related cases. • Strong skills in drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents. • Proficiency in managing discovery processes and document productions. • Experience with complex business litigation matters. • Ability to take and defend depositions effectively. • Excellent legal research and analytical skills. • Trial experience is preferred but not required.
