Description We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Attorney to join a law firm in Fairfax, Virginia. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse civil litigation cases, interact closely with clients, and craft effective legal strategies with significant autonomy. Responsibilities: • Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters, ensuring timely and accurate execution of legal processes. • Develop and implement case strategies, tailoring approaches to meet client needs and objectives. • Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other necessary court documents. • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions. • Engage in discovery processes, including drafting interrogatories, reviewing evidence, and conducting depositions. • Maintain consistent client communication to address concerns, provide updates, and offer legal guidance. • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to achieve optimal outcomes for clients. • Adhere to firm policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with legal regulations. • Participate in skill development opportunities to stay informed about legal trends and practices. • Provide mentorship and support to less experienced staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Requirements • Must hold a valid Virginia attorney license. • Proven experience in civil litigation is required. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to connect meaningfully with clients. • Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity. • Familiarity with discovery processes and courtroom procedures. • Additional licenses in other jurisdictions are preferred but not mandatory. • Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining integrity.
