Description We are looking for a skilled Family Law Attorney to join a law firm in Manassas, Virginia. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping clients navigate complex legal matters related to custody, divorce, support, and settlements. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in family law cases, including custody disputes, divorce proceedings, and support-related matters. • Prepare and draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and agreements. • Conduct thorough research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments. • Manage discovery processes, including reviewing and organizing evidence. • Advocate effectively in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations. • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to address their concerns and provide updates on case progress. • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management. • Stay informed about changes in family law regulations and legal precedents. • Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of legal practice. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing law, with a focus on family law. • Active license to practice law in the state of Virginia. • Proficiency in civil litigation, including drafting motions and legal briefs. • Strong understanding of discovery processes and evidence management. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Ability to handle sensitive and emotionally charged situations with professionalism. • Strong organizational and time-management abilities. • Commitment to providing exceptional client service and achieving favorable outcomes. • 1400 billable hour plus bonus structure beyond required hours met - 3 weeks of paid time off - Healthcare premiums paid by Employer for employee only - Dental premiums paid by Employer for employee only - 401k eligibility during open enrollment after one year of employment.
