Description We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Alpharetta, Georgia on a contract basis. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in insurance defense or personal injury defense and offers an opportunity to work in a hybrid environment with minimal in-office requirements. You will play a key role in managing litigation processes, conducting legal research, and supporting trial preparation efforts. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents to support litigation strategies. • Prepare for trials by gathering evidence, drafting trial materials, and organizing case files. • Utilize case management software to maintain accurate documentation and track case progress. • Handle e-filing processes for court submissions and ensure compliance with legal filing requirements. • Create medical chronologies and analyze pre-existing conditions relevant to case outcomes. • Collaborate with a team of attorneys to manage caseloads effectively and provide strategic legal counsel. • Review insurance claims and provide defense support in property, casualty, and personal injury cases. • Participate in client meetings and conferences to discuss case strategies and updates. • Leverage legal software tools, such as Neos and LexisNexis, to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Assist in alleviating workloads within the team by providing high-quality legal support. Requirements • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law in Georgia. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense, personal injury defense, or related areas. • Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and case management systems. • Strong understanding of civil litigation processes and claim administration. • Experience with medical chronologies and handling pre-existing condition cases. • Ability to use legal software, including Neos or similar platforms, for document management. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting and presenting legal arguments. • Capability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting with minimal supervision.
