Position Overview Reports To: Assistant Principal, Student Support Job Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule: School-year based, beginning August 1 and including five days after the last day of school. The schedule may be adjusted to accommodate school start and end dates as needed. OLP is a school of approximately 750 students, committed to creating a diverse and inclusive educational community. The Attendance Coordinator is often the first point of contact for students, families, and guests entering campus. This role requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, along with sensitivity, discretion, and a positive attitude. The Attendance Coordinator supports student attendance tracking, reporting, and record-keeping, and works closely with the Assistant Principal of Student Support, faculty, staff, and parents to ensure accurate attendance data and adherence to school policies. Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, SIS, and LMS systems is required. Essential Responsibilities ? Maintain accurate daily attendance records, including period-by-period or positive attendance, and enter data into PowerSchool SIS. ? Verify and document student absences through communication with parents/guardians and teachers. ? Issue re-admit slips, tardy slips, off-campus passes, and related documentation. ? Generate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly attendance reports. ? Monitor and follow up with students with attendance issues, initiating contact with parents/guardians as necessary. ? Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred. ? Proficiency with Mac/PC systems and software including Word, Excel, Google Suite, and other office management tools. ? Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments under short timelines. ? Professionalism, patience, and strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents. ? Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete routine tasks with minimal supervision. Required Documents & Pre-Employment Requirements: Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and two professional references from current or former supervisors. Candidates must also provide official transcripts, a current negative TB test result or TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire, complete required training, and successfully complete Livescan fingerprinting. Employment is contingent upon obtaining fingerprint clearance from the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
