4 Year Degree The University of South Alabama’s Athletics department is seeking to hire an Athletic Trainer Supervisor. Interested candidates should apply to be considered. These are the job duties required of the position:

-Supervises Athletic Trainers, graduate interns, and student assistants to include assigning duties and checking work.

-Oversees team medical needs during practice participation, intercollegiate athletic contests, and required medical coverage for intercollegiate team travel to off campus events.

-Coordinates injury prevention and management, assists with the areas of wellness, nutrition, concussion management, and sickle cell trait screening. Oversees the use of and operates a variety of athletic training equipment to include medical modalities.

-Maintains a daily record of treatments and injuries.

-Maintains confidentiality of medical documents.

-Assists the Director of Sports Medicine with professional and administrative services essential for the successful implementation and development of the sports medicine program.

-Regular and prompt attendance.

-Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required. Related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in physical education or a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama, four years of experience in athletic training or a related field, one of which was in a supervisory capacity, and certification with the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. Master’s degree is preferred and will substitute for one year of the required experience. Experience in a collegiate setting is preferred
