The Professional Standards Team (PST) is responsible for developing, implementing, operating and monitoring the system of quality management (SOQM) for the assurance practice. The Assurance Quality Manager works with the Assurance Quality Management leadership within PST and is focused on execution of the firm’s assurance quality management programs.


Your role.

Assist in the planning and execution of the firm’s quality management programs, which may include:Implementation of new quality management standardsReview of processes and controls to evaluate design effectiveness, and development of action plans for enhancementsDevelopment of quality response testing plans, including the nature, timing and extent of procedures to be performed, and involvement in the execution of the testingParticipation in the internal inspection process and involvement as appropriate in external inspectionsManagement of root cause analysis efforts based on results of monitoring activities and oversight of execution of resulting action plans Collaborate with internal firm service groups and others within professional standards as needed to perform the duties described Collaborate with the other members of the assurance quality management team to share observations, common themes, or indications of potential issues Prepare communications for firm leaders related to audit quality matters Assist in developing and delivering continuing professional education courses related to quality management subject matter Participate in other monitoring and quality initiatives that arise through issue identification or continuous improvement initiatives                                                                                          The qualifications.Experience with process documentation and developmentStrong project management skills and motivated to work autonomouslyAudit manager or senior with CPA licenseWorking knowledge of assurance quality management requirementsAbility and desire to think strategically to develop plans for execution of monitoring proceduresAbility to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities to improveStrong oral and written communications skillsStrong social and interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to change quicklyExperience working with broad range of people in different roles and at different levels
