Key Responsibilities:
Collect and synthesize external research for product development and product positioning as well as conduct primary research and analysis on customer needs and behaviors, distribution channel performance and behavior, competitors and their product offerings and specific business situations that may be needed.Oversee the development and maintenance of multiple market research functions including competitive product intelligence, investment platform intelligence, and proprietary research.Provide the Management team with insights/recommendations based on accurate and current intelligence needed to set product strategy and make business sound decisions.Ensure a steady flow of relevant competitive information is provided to Senior Management, Sales, and Product Management teams.Identify and evaluate industry, market and product trends, existing and emerging competitors, investment platform intelligence, and other factors affecting the business environment.Develop an extensive network of industry contacts through regular attendance at industry trade shows and conferences.Proactively develop individual industry relationships through one-on-one conversations and meetings.Through the exchange of ideas and information with both internal and external contacts, monitor industry trends and report on new developments that may affect our business.Encourage a flow of information to and from internal contacts, to capture intelligence gathered in the field.Proactive involvement with strategic product development discussions and develop internal network of contactsSelect and manage research vendors, identifying and recommending new sources of research.Design questionnaires, conduct telephone and written surveys to gather information from customers and partnersUse company databases to gain insights on customer and partnersOversee the development and distribution of periodic reports on sales activity, business trends, and market share analysisManage relationships with industry organizations and consultants . Ensure that these organizations have current and accurate information on the Company and its product offerings

HybridSalary range is expected to be between
$71,550.00 USD - $119,250.00 USDIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
