The Associate Vice President – Global Transition will lead complex, enterprise-scale transition programs for Sutherland’s portfolio of global clients. This role will ensure seamless delivery of transition initiatives aligned with Sutherland’s growth and digital transformation objectives. The AVP will partner closely with client executives, transition teams, technology leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver transition excellence while driving measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for global transition initiatives, ensuring on-time, high-quality execution across multiple client programsManage Transition and Transformation (TnT) teams across the Philippines, Americas, and EuropeOversee a portfolio of transition projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and issuesPresents transition strategy and approach during client deal pursuitsDelegates and ensures timely, high-quality responses to all RFPs requiring a Transition SolutionCollaborate with the Global Head of Transition and Project Management to develop and execute strategic plans for transitions worldwideLead and mentor transition project managers, building a high-performing global teamManage senior stakeholder communications and escalation paths to ensure program alignment and client satisfactionEstablish, monitor, and report on program-level KPIs to drive accountability and continuous improvementEnsure compliance with transition methodologies, quality standards, and contractual obligationsFacilitate adoption of best practices in project governance, risk management, and knowledge managementFoster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the transition teamSupport pre-sales efforts by developing transition strategies, solution proposals, and resource estimates

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)Minimum 10+ years of program or project management experience in complex, global environmentsMinimum 3+ years in project portfolio management overseeing multiple concurrent initiativesPMP certification required (or equivalent project management credential)Expertise with modern PM tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and ConfluenceDemonstrated people leadership skills, with experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teamsExceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skillsAbility to influence and partner effectively across diverse, geographically distributed teamsStrong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilitiesExperience working in business process outsourcing (BPO), shared services, or a consulting environment preferredExperience with digital transformation, automation, or technology-driven transitions is highly desirableAbility to travel domestically and internationally, as needed (<20%)
