Major Responsibilities:
Directly responsible for all operations associated with the Medical Group anesthesiology specialty in the IL and WI divisions of Advocate Health. Oversees the development, execution, administration and evaluation of all anesthesiology operations. Ensures efficient and high-quality patient services. Manages the portfolio of practices within anesthesiology to offer a competitive, cost-effective internal solution to staffing and practice operations. Develops and distributes dashboards for anesthesia services focused on quality, efficiency, and productivity. Serves as the internal consultant for all anesthesia initiatives focused on strategic, cost saving, and operational efficiency at all sites of care. Ensures alignment of clinic services with anesthesiology services, other Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care services, and acts as a liaison to corporate and medical center departments that provide clinical support services. Advocates and actively participates with Government Relations at the State level to grow legal and regulatory support for broad Anesthesia practice across a spectrum of licensed professionals. As part of Medical Group leadership, assists with the recruitment and retention of physicians into the anesthesia specialty practices, development of new specialties planning, project management, physician agreements and facility planning. Facilitates the assimilation of newly hired physicians into the group practice setting and manages ongoing communications and relationships with physicians, medical centers and other Advocate Health and community stakeholders. Ensures standardization across anesthesia specialties and integration with other Advocate Health entities to optimize efficiency, productivity, financial outcomes and human resources. Accountable for initiatives across the anesthesia specialty to accomplish growth, effectiveness, quality and patient satisfaction goals. Designs and directs the work of the assigned area(s) of responsibility. Selects, coaches, and develops teams, setting objectives that align with organizational strategy to inspire and motivate the teams. Manages organizational talent through performance management, succession planning, and development. Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved. Develops and/or recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives. Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that people actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business.Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related fieldExperience Required:
Typically requires 10 years of experience in providing strategic and operational leadership and oversight in anesthesiology administration, which includes successfully integrating and aligning operational functions, recruiting and retaining clinicians, successful practice management, change management, fee-for-service and managed care within a multi-specialty and/or anesthesia group with a large integrated health care system.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Consults, designs, conducts studies, and develops/implements solutions for issues with significant financial/operational impact to the organization. Proven leadership skills including project management, process improvement, problem-solving, decision making, prioritization, delegation, team building, customer service, and conflict resolution. Will generally be exposed to a normal office environment. This position requires travel so will be exposed to weather and road conditions.
