JOB OVERVIEW

The Associate Transportation Analyst supports operational strategies in an outsourced environment to support Callaway Golf’s domestic US outbound transportation. The incumbent is responsible for internal and external customer service related to quoting, tracking, tracing, and other transportation-related inquiries. This role will also mediate between internal team members and third-party logistics providers or carriers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the routing and transportation of domestic freight to meet internal and external customer requirements. Authorized to adjust work schedule as appropriate to meet the needs of the business.Proactively identify and resolve all freight and traffic-related issues, including communicating with freight brokers/carriers, affected internal departments, and customers.Analyze transportation costs and service levels and make recommendations to management to improve the effectiveness of transportation programs.Coordinate and communicate with domestic Supply Chain and Sales organizations.Prepare and update ad hoc and ongoing regular reporting as required using SAP and other software applications.Process miscellaneous shipping requests, balancing best shipment methods (cost and service) and shipper requirements. Authorized to obtain and approve spot quotes as necessary.Evaluate freight classifications and rates to ensure proper delivery of goods and correct vendor billing for services rendered.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Working knowledge of US transportation systems and networks, including intermodal rail, truck, small parcels, and air.Proven Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).Effective communication, analytical, and project management skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing business environment.Must have the ability to work independently, multi-task, be a resourceful initiative-taker and collaborator, and be available to support unique operational needs (i.e., after hours, peak season, and special projects) as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

BS or BA degree (Supply Chain/Logistics, Operations preferred).Experience in domestic logistics, particularly in an operational capacity or a position requiring a thorough knowledge of logistics operations.Internal and/or external customer service experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)

Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.Extensive use of office equipment, including computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software
