Developmental position designed to produce Test Technicians that can operate independently at higher levels within the organization. It is expected that this would be a one-year assignment intended to supply the knowledge necessary to move to the next level. Perform routine Quality Testing of Turbomachinery Equipment, Gas Producers, Power Turbines, and Reduction Gearboxes to ensure conformance to Solar and/or customer specifications. Promote and demonstrate support of all safety and lean initiatives.
**Principal Accountabilities:**
+ Assist with the installation and removal of all to-be tested packages and accessories.
+ Assist with test of gas compressors, new and refurbished packages, consoles, and any other product tested by the Mabank Test Department.
+ Observe, record, and review test data.
+ May support more senior Technicians in the resolution of package or project issues.
+ Assist in the setup and use of all computerized data acquisition systems.
+ Attend all available training programs as directed by management.
+ Contacts are typically with Test Technicians, other Metrology Technicians, and Test/Product Engineers.
+ Works under the general direction of the Test Manager, Test Coordinator or Test Engineer. Work is usually reviewed for completeness and accuracy.
+ Constantly engaged with more Senior Technicians in a learning and development environment. Will follow previously created practices and procedures.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
+ Requires good mechanical skills and the ability to operate shop equipment, bench tools, hand tools, and inspection and test equipment (micrometers, multimeters, and dial indicators).
+ 1-2 experience working with turbomachinery equipment.
+ Basic understanding and experience using Baan.
+ Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Experience reading and interpreting all applicable project related documents: Application Check Sheets, P&ID, ELS, ITPs, Stamp-off Sheets, Etc.
+ Be able and willing to work overtime when necessary.
**Summary Pay Range:**
$45,809.00 - $68,713.00
