General Overview
This position will support the Test & Sustaining Quality group as well as the Engineering Department by executing tests and documenting the results in test reports. The position includes operating and understanding manual test fixtures and automated test fixtures, managing individual experiments they are executing, and will be expected to manage multiple assignments at a time while still providing a high level of data fidelity for each of these experiments. This position will also be responsible for communicating directly at a high with the Test and Sustaining Quality Manager, Project Manager, Supervisor, and stakeholders as the experiments proceed. This position will participate in design and process methods such as DFMEAs/DVPRs (Design Analysis/Validation Plan) and PFMEAs/PCPs (Process analysis/Qualification Plan) and will support these processes by executing the work associated with them. This is an entry level technical role with the opportunity to grow based on contributions to the lab program.
Overall Responsibilities
Conduct and execute various tests with precision and adherence to established protocols.Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot test fixtures to ensure reliable performance.Accurately collect, document, and analyze test data for reporting and decision-making.Support lab operations by upholding safety standards, performing routine cleaning, maintenance, and ensuring calibration compliance.Efficiently manage multiple testing workstreams simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.Compile and present test results in clear, concise reports using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant tools.Communicate findings effectively to management, peers, and stakeholders through presentations and discussions.Maintain open and proactive communication with the Test & Sustaining Quality Manager, Test & Sustaining Quality Project Manager, and other key stakeholders in the Engineering Department.Apply critical thinking and independent problem-solving skills to improve test methodologies and outcomes.Actively participate in DFMEAs/DVPRs, PFMEAs/PCPs to support product and process quality improvement initiatives.Qualifications, Skills, Competencies
Minimum:
B.S. in Engineering or related field – chemical, chemistry preferred1+ years of experience in product testing and test lab operationsKnowledge of when to escalate problems or issues; able to communicate results effectivelyCritical thinking skills around testing, product, process, and quality systemsAble to inspire others and share passion for our vision, culture, and opportunityDemonstrates strategic thinking, operational intelligence, and sound judgmentData-driven with a balance between data and intuition; strong documentation skillsCollaborative and able to build partnerships and ensure shared successProficiency in the following or similar software applications: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Desired:
