Job DescriptionAECOM’s Structures team is growing, and we’re excited to welcome a new Associate to join our dynamic practice. As part of the broader Building Engineering group, our team collaborates across multidisciplinary engineering and architectural disciplines to deliver innovative, world-class projects that shape the built environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and quality of structural engineering processes.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project objectives.Oversee the design, analysis, and review of complex structural systems for assigned projects.Ensure all designs meet regulatory codes, safety standards, and project specifications.Promote the adoption of advanced design tools, materials, and methodologies to improve outcomes.Identify and mitigate potential risks in structural designs and project execution.Allocate engineering resources efficiently to meet project demands.Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.Ensure thorough documentation of designs, calculations, and project deliverables for compliance and future reference. Lead and be responsible for the successful delivery of steel and concrete structures, including production of technical reports, written calculations, design briefs, specifications, drawings, schedules, contract documentation and the like.Responsible for ensuring technical quality, coordination, integrity, cost effectiveness of designs produced.Prepare and adhere to assigned budgets and schedules, integrate team efforts, review work, set priorities, identify, and resolve issues in a timely manner and communicate status to the Project Manager.Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
QualificationsB. Sc or BEng in Civil / Structural Engineering, International Accreditation (MIstructE or equivalent).Local Authority Engineer registration is required.12+ years experience in building structures, experience in high rise, would be advantageous Additional Information
