Under general supervision processes surgical instrumentation and supplies throughout the sterilization process using the appropriate personal protective equipment according to procedure. Maintains instruments in a clean, working condition, and stores according to instrument directory.
High Level Disinfection: Under the immediate supervision of the High-level disinfection supervisor, the technician processes all fiber-optic endoscopes, video endoscopes, Endocavity probes, TEE probes, and all other equipment requiring high-level disinfection utilized by the operating room and ancillary departments.
Performs daily sterilizer biological monitoring, instrument sterilization, and all associated documentation. Is proficient in required competencies.

Required Qualifications:
National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire, Or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire.Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of Central Service Certification course, or sterile processing, instrument room, or central supply experience , Or Sterile processing, instrument room, or central supply experience.
