Associate Staff Specialist Facilities EHS

Job Location: Hershey, PA

Role Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Building Services and working at the 19 East Chocolate Avenue, Hershey, PA  17033  the Coordinator Facilities and Environmental position provides project leadership.

Provides general administrative support to the Building Services Department. Work with EHS department to develop, implement, and evaluate safety programs. Responsible and accountable to all regulatory authorities (DEP, etc.) Records retention management: update and maintain all safety training records. . Take daily/weekly/monthly Spring Creek Wier Temp/PH and file for DEP compliance.  This includes anytime it rains.  Troubleshoot Weir Temp/PH probes as needed to ensure working order Administers and supports all safety programs for Building Services. Follows all EHS processes and coordinates with EHS Team, including; spill programs, safety programs, and eye wash stations in Derry Township.

Organized with ability to keep others on task Personal initiative Attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) knowledge of SAP 

This role will interact and partner with:

Maintenance EHS Department Regulatory Authorities-DEP,EPA


Major Duties/Responsibilities: 

Assist Maintenance Manager and Sr Manager with Responsibility and accountability to all regulatory authorities (DEP, etc.) to ensure operations of all buildings are meeting code requirements 
Administers and supports all safety programs for Building Services Take daily/weekly/monthly Spring Creek Wier Temp/PH and file for DEP compliance.  This includes anytime it rains.  Troubleshoot Weir Temp/PH probes as needed to ensure working order 
Support Facilities Planner to maintain Building Services webpage and in Crisis App Maintains spill kit and eye wash programs to ensure needed material and operational checks in Derry Township.


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform duties and responsibilities:

Ability to prioritize activity and manage time effectively. Ability to coordinate and plan safety training programs. Organized with ability to keep others on task. Personal initiative. Attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) knowledge of SAP. 

 

Education: HS Diploma required or EHS degree (Associates degree, higher education, or specialist administrative training preferred)

Experience: Minimum 3 years administrative experience in a professional environment supporting a Leadership Team / Senior Level Management required
