Associate Site Reliability Engineer Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain automated solutions for deploying, monitoring, and scaling AWS infrastructure.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployments and infrastructure updates.

Monitor system health and performance using monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, and Prometheus.

Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.

Develop automated incident response mechanisms to mitigate operational issues quickly and effectively.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to define and enforce SRE best practices, including error budgets and SLAs.

Implement proactive monitoring and alerting to identify potential issues before they impact production systems.

Conduct root cause analysis and post-mortem reviews for incidents and outages.

Optimize AWS resource usage to reduce costs while maintaining high availability and performance.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, automation scripts, and system configurations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles with a focus on AWS.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, and VPC.

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.

Expertise in IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Datadog).

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Written and spoken proficiency in English

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

Knowledge of chaos engineering and fault injection testing.

Familiarity with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.

Experience with incident management and post-mortem analysis.

Understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
