Join us in a world where excellence knows no boundaries! The Global Analytical Technology Solutions (ATS) team, covering Small and Large Molecules, oversees analytical activities across the network. The ATS-Bio team develops new Quality Control (QC) tests to replace existing QC tests to improve robustness of assays for QC laboratories in the European (EU) region and the Asian Pacific (APAC) region. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated associate scientist to strengthen our team at the site in Boxmeer. The position focusses on the development of a new virus titration assay. As an Associate Scientist your key tasks and responsibilities are: + Development of a new cell-based virus titration method to replace a titration method on eggs + Execution of virus titrations on eggs and cells to demonstrate equivalence between the two assays + Plan and execute experiments and evaluate results + Report all laboratory activities in a clear, organised manner, in the form of reports and standard operating procedures + Support development of other QC tests (immunoassays such as ELISA, AlphaLISA or Luminex) + Bachelor of Applied Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biochemistry, Biology or Molecular Biology + Experience in cell culture, virus titration, and immunofluorescence is required. + Experience in laboratory techniques such as ELISA, AlphaLISA or Luminex is preferred + Experience with working under GLP and GMP requirements is preferred + Able to work independently and in a team + Strong communication and problem-solving skills + Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and international team + Proficient in English, both speaking and writing Working at PSS means working with highly motivated people with a can-do mentality.
