Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits
**Key responsibilities:**
We seek an outstanding candidate to join Synthetic Molecule Analytical Chemistry Department. Responsibilities include the following:
+ Characterize synthetic molecule drug substance and drug product samples using analytical chemistry
+ Develop and execute HPLC and other analytical methods
+ Document experiments in an electronic lab notebook
+ Summarize and interpret analytical data
+ Troubleshoot technical problems related to analytical methods and instrumentation
+ Support drug discovery, discovery pharmaceutics, and process chemistry in a multi-functional environment
+ Contribute to the advancement of pipeline projects to support pre-clinical and/or clinical development through innovation and teamwork
+ Engage in creative problem-solving
+ Utilize state-of-the-art technology including: UHPLC-MS, multidimensional HPLC, CAD, endotoxin testing system, osmometer, rheometer, and UV-Vis, and more
**Education and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
+ Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0-2 years’)
In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
+ Experience in pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.
+ Must have good knowledge of analytical chemistry including general wet laboratory practices and best practices within research and/or cGMP environments.
+ Background in chromatography (HPLC and/or LCMS including data handling/reporting) is required. Knowledge of pharmaceutics and drug discovery is desirable.
+ Must have good problem solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
+ Ability to independently optimize and troubleshoot analytical methods
+ Good organizational skills including time management and project management, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
+ Good written and oral communication skills
+ Preferred: Ability to understand and independently apply GMPs and/or GLPs to everyday work with regard to documentation and instrument use
+ Preferred: Knowledge of applicable regulatory authority, compendia and ICH guidelines

**Compensation and Benefits**
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $26.51–$33.58.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
