Job Description

The successful candidate for the Compound Management Associate Scientist I position will join the PathHunter Services team with a multifaceted approach for providing high value services based on the DiscoverX PathHunter platform and other proprietary technologies. The position will focus on handling, storage, and tracking of chemical or biological compounds. This includes responsibilities such as receiving, registering, weighing, solubilizing, and distributing compounds, utilizing liquid handling robots- both tip based and Acoustic dispensers. The role also involves managing inventory, ensuring quality control, and collaborating with scientists and other teams to fulfill compound requests efficiently and accurately.

Associate Scientist I Compound management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Receipt and storage of customer compounds.Registration of customer compounds in database.Notification of compound receipt.Regularly communicate with the Client Services team regarding project status.Managing reference compounds inventory, including ordering, database entry and records of certificate or analysis.Maintain and update proprietary LIMS platform with pertinent study information.Managing consumables warehouse for team.Reconstituting new compound stocks as required.Generating compound plates for testing as required.Programming and operation of liquid handling equipment.Maintenance of equipment, scheduling regular PM’sParticipation in routine lab maintenance/ clean up.Participation in Capacity management and maintaining 5S in LabDaily eLNB entry.Weekly progress report generation.Perform other duties as required and assigned.Demonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityApplies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerOwns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timelinessProvides cross-functional support to other departments as requiredAdjusts work hours as needed to meet client deadlinesAdheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirements

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Education Qualifications:

Bachelors in biochemistry or related field

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

Minium 3 - 5+ years relevant experienceExperience with lab automation strongly desired (liquid handlers / plate readers, robotics).eg- Hamilton, Velocity-11 and ECHOExperience with databases preferred (Activity Base / Spotfire).Experience in culturing mammalian cells is preferred.Experience with performing cell based or ELISA assays preferableExpertise in compound management preferred.Experience with multichannel pipettesAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. 

Additional Information

Position is full-time working Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Fremont, CA are encouraged to apply.
