In short, Carrier’s greatest assets are the expertise, creativity, and passion of our people – and we’re excited to have you join the team. **Job Overview** **As a Marine HVAC Field Service Engineer** , you'll play a critical role in ensuring the optimal functioning of climate control systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms. This dynamic position requires a highly skilled and adaptable individual who can independently manage complex installations, maintenance, and repairs of air-conditioning and cooling systems in diverse and often challenging environments. You’ll be the go-to expert for diagnosing and resolving malfunctions, performing detailed technical analyses, and providing service support for both new and existing installations. The role involves **extensive domestic and international travel** , and you must be available **24/7** to respond to urgent customer needs—often aboard cruise ships or in various global ports. **Role Responsibilities:** + Install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning and cooling installations onboard ships and offshore platforms in varying conditions. + Independently carry out complex service, repair, and maintenance procedures, as well as commission cooling installations. + Identify the root cause of technical malfunctions and resolve issues of various natures (mechanical, electrical, system-related). + Manage the internal ordering process for spare parts required to resolve technical faults. + Conduct thorough technical analyses of both mechanical and electrical systems. + Provide service support and commission new systems in close cooperation with the owner and/or construction team. + Perform advanced testing procedures to verify system functionality. + Identify and report any damage or irregularities found during inspections or servicing. + Be flexible and willing to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, including on short notice. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline. + 0–3 years of experience in a sales engineering, technical sales, or HVAC-related role (entry-level candidates with relevant internships will be considered). + Technical understanding of HVAC systems and their applications, preferably in marine or offshore environments. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. + Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus. + Willingness to travel internationally, as required. **Preferred Qualifications** + Knowledge of HVAC design standards and marine/offshore certification requirements (e.g., DNV, LR, ABS). + Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or HVAC design software. + Experience with (heat load) calculations **Our Commitment to You** Our people are our strength.
