The Associate Quality Technician is responsible for managing QC samples and supporting related activities in accordance with internal policies, SWIs, SOPs, and cGMP standards. This role helps ensure sample integrity, accurate documentation, and the timely delivery of materials to support manufacturing and laboratory testing operations.

Main Responsibilities

Sample Management & Testing Support

Receive, organize, and deliver materials from the QC sample receipt area, including dock area, to designated testing labs as needed.

Verify sample integrity upon receipt; store and maintain samples according to defined conditions.

Deliver samples to testing areas or storage locations; dispose of expired or completed samples per procedure.

Perform visual inspections and troubleshoot discrepancies, documenting findings appropriately.

Ensure accurate, real-time documentation of all sample-related activities.

Laboratory and Service Area Duties

Maintain lab and storage areas in a clean, safe, and compliant condition.

Perform system transactions in SAP, LIMS, and other QC related systems.

Support general lab upkeep and perform service area tasks, including glassware washing, waste boxing, water sampling, and decontamination autoclave operation.

Compliance & Documentation

Follow all applicable SOPs, SWIs, cGMP, safety guidelines, and training requirements.

Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant; support event deviation, change control, and CAPA processes.

Training & Development

Maintain training in the Learning Management System (LMS).

Participate in assigned training and suggest areas for improvement.

Attend team, department, and safety meetings; engage in professional development opportunities.

Cost & Operational Excellence

Meet departmental metrics and performance standards.

Share ideas for improvement and raise operational concerns with suggested solutions.

Take initiative in resolving QC related issues.

Involvement

Support internal projects and continuous improvement efforts.

Work collaboratively to meet team and individual objectives and uphold quality standards.

About You

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 6 months of GMP experience.

Strong computer proficiency and ability to follow detailed procedures.

Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to accurate documentation practices.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work is conducted in a laboratory setting with appropriate PPE.

Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.

Exposure to extreme temperatures when handling samples.

This is a 100% onsite role, including holidays, nights, and weekends as required.

Ability to achieve 20/20 visual acuity with corrective lenses - evaluated annually.

Annual vaccinations are mandatory.

This is an essential position; consistent and reliable attendance is critical.

The salary range for this position is:

$19.32 - $25.76
