Platinum Group Metal Services (PGMS) is a leading refiner and recycler of precious group metals. The growing demand for low carbon and responsibly sourced products is creating growth opportunities in critical metals recycling and secondary refining, and as the world’s largest precious metals recycler, PGMS is a key player in the circular economy.

The Associate Quality Systems Engineer assists in the administration and improvement of the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to help ensure processes and procedures are established, implemented, maintained and in alignment with ISO 9001 standards. The Associate Quality Systems Engineer assists with day-to-day support for product or raw material disposition as well as with the review of associated documentation as required.

Your responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the QMS sharepoint, ensuring its proper configuration and functionality, submitting DWP tickets as neededSupport internal and external audits of the QMS, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvementEnsure the QMS and related processes comply with relevant standards (ISO9001:2015) and internal policiesManage and control quality-related documentation, including SOP’s, Training Materials, and other recordsDevelop and deliver training on quality systems and proceduresOther related Quality Assurance projects as assignedPrimary Backup to quality records technicianManage and maintain Quality non-conformance database (QCBD), including admin functions, CAR creation, escalation of CAR closure actions, and NCMR dispositionSupport 4CP structured problem solving as assigned actions

Requirements for the role:

Minimum Education Required – Associate degree1 plus years’ experience in a quality assurance role or in a manufacturing environment desirableComprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001 desirableRelevant computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, QCBD, MS Sharepoint, A-EDMS, Power BI, KBM)Detail-oriented and organizedGood written and oral communication skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, time manage and be adaptableFlexible and able to adapt to company growth and evolving responsibilitiesAbility to work independently and with a team
