Job Description
The Associate Quality Engineer will lead the Material Review Board process, assist with Root Cause Analysis, and handle NCR/CAPA(s) and Customer Complaints. The role involves generating quality assurance documentation for all manufacturing departments and training operators in required operations. This position works closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to implement, standardize, document, and enhance both new and existing processes.
ResponsibilitiesLead the Material Review Board process and assist with Root Cause Analysis for NCR/CAPA(s) and Customer Complaints.Generate quality assurance documentation for all manufacturing departments and train operators.Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to improve and standardize processes.Execute and train on 5S implementation across various departments.Assist as an internal auditor for ISO9000 and AS9100 standards.Conduct basic inspections with hand tools and GD&T testing.Work with other departments to achieve company goals.Enforce quality standards focusing on customer satisfaction, product accuracy, and timely deliveries.Recognize trends and prepare quality metrics/reports for company-wide sharing.Develop systems that enhance manufacturing speed without creating bottlenecks.Perform additional tasks as required by the Manager, Director of Quality, or President.Demonstrate commitment to company Core Values through consistent behavior.Adhere to safety policies and attend related training.Train and maintain competency in operating Keyence LM-X auto-inspection and Keyence XM-5000 CMM equipment.Essential SkillsProficiency in ISO 9000 standards.Experience with GD&T and Keyence equipment.Knowledge of ISO9000 & AS9100 quality systems.Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office, and Keyence or PolyWorks CMM software.Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsTwo-year STEM degree or five years of equivalent quality control experience preferred.Experience in training and quality documentation.Ability to recognize and react to industry trends.Work Environment
The work environment involves working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams, utilizing technologies such as Keyence LM-X auto-inspection and Keyence XM-5000 CMM equipment. Standard working hours apply, with a focus on maintaining a safe and collaborative environment. Adherence to safety policies and participation in safety training is mandatory.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.95 - $34.20/hr.
