Associate Product Manager

The primary role of Engineering function within Product Development team is to create specifications and designs for new products or improvements and enhancements to existing products. Works closely with customers, developers and other stakeholders to understand and define customer needs in these designs. Features are aligned to a timetable and areas of responsibility. Developers may solicit customers for feedback regarding product usability and desired future enhancements. Software Engineers who design, write and test code for the product should be matched in the either Software Engineering Applications or Systems. Product developers who specialize in hardware systems should be matched to Hardware Engineering.

Let’s talk about Responsibilities

The primary objective of Technical Product Management specialization within Engineering(PD) is to participate in overall product strategy and development requirements for new and emerging software platforms.

Key responsibilities include the creation and oversight of high level software solution roadmaps; understanding customer and market needs and opportunities; translating needs and opportunities for product development; managing conflicting business priorities; maintaining a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for software platforms; and working closely with the development teams to ensure that product features and capabilities under development meets customer and stakeholder needs.

Focuses on the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives that help achieve orgnisational mission. Implements organization strategies through the effective direction and management of employees and resources.

Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.

Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.

Coaches team members on performance, provide inputs for performance evaluations and might be involved in pay actions.

Typically without budget or hire/fire authority.


Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum of 8 years of related experience

FIN TECH and Point of Sales (POS) experience \.

Applies acquired expertise and exercises judgment to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent.

Analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $99,000.00 - $148,000.00 USD Annual  USD
