The Associate Principal is responsible supporting, developing and leading strategies to win new business by selling an alternative business model. You have the executive presence and the expertise to own various levels of client relationships, identify desired business outcomes, and gain implementation commitment. You are comfortable at the Executive and Senior Leader Level using the right tools to manage value stream business changes.
This position reports to the Director Performance Partnership and is part of the European Performance Partnership European team based remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Contribute to development of Beckman’s new DBS assessment tool and front-end offering. Support Europe Principals and Enterprise Discovery and Delivery Teams in the identification, development and ownership of new offerings and solutions.Working with Europe Principals to synergize sales strategy, lead assessment efforts in conjunction with Enterprise Discovery Consultants. Deals with Senior Leaders to clearly understand needs and opportunities for innovation.Work directly with senior hospital executives to define linkages between strategic objectives and process improvements, using both analytical tools and consulting techniques.Work alongside Europe Principals, National and Regional Sales Managers to identify and develop strategy to contact potential C-suite and other executive clients for new business engagements.Coach and mentor other project team members to diagnose workflow impediments and provide expert counsel on appropriate advanced strategies employing DBS Tools to eliminate waste. Define linkages between customer strategic objectives and process improvements, using both analytical tools and consulting techniques.Create a bench for new opportunities via referrals, and networking at industry seminars.A major contributor to the sales process, including executive VIP presentations with executive clients, alongside the PP Principals and Beckman Coulter sales managers. Builds strong relationships with existing clients and new potential clients.The essential requirements of the job include:
Strong analytical skills and business acumen (i.e., knowledge of healthcare service lines, profit and loss centers, balance sheets, capital/operational planning). Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a “general manager’s” point of view; effective at structured problem solving and critical thinking.Knowledge of fundamental DBS or continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving, Voice of Customer (VOC) and Daily ManagementLean Consulting experience in Health Care a plus. Laboratory redesign experience a plus.Lab Operations experience. Need to be familiar with test menu optimization strategies (i.e., running the right test at the right time), understanding Hub and Spoke models for core, regional and other lab set-ups, Inventory management, Patient Blood Management, Equipment Capacity and Staff Productivity to name a few.10+ years track record of commercial experience with proven success in continuous improvement, sales or consulting.Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
