Job Description:

 

The Associate Platform Technical Analyst will be part of the Global Actuarial IT Support (GAITS) and will be responsible for providing service and support to the Actuarial Business, Systems and Platforms. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and solid operational & vendor management experience to support the IT needs and requirements, non-production and production fixes of the application. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, working with stakeholders and support teams across the globe.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in performing system checks and platform component upgrades.Provide 1st level support for infrastructure-related issues; perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrenceLeverage on the catalogue of scripts and solutions to solve known issues regarding configuring, provisioning, and maintaining software/platformAssist in ensuring that infrastructure solutions comply with security standards and regulatory requirementsHelp monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements to ensure high availability and scalabilityCollaborate with other teams to provide application monitoring strategyAssist in the build of new application monitors, dashboards, and creative solutionsHelp maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or any related course1 to 2 years’ experience in supporting applications in production environments running on WindowsBasic experience or knowledge on the following: Microsoft Azure, Windows Servers, basic network troubleshootingBasic knowledge on any Service Management Tools (Service Now, SM9, etc)Basic knowledge and application of change & release management, ITIL4 & project managementRelevant experience working in DevOps organizations or idea about DevOpsScripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShellBasic knowledge of networking, security best practices, and infrastructure monitoringUnderstanding of software development lifecycle Understanding of how technology supports Manulife business strategyCollaborative attitude, willingness to work with team membersConstantly learns from both success and failureGood verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomesGood organizational, multi-tasking and time management skillsStrong drive to ensure you meet defined service targets and Service Level AgreementsAbility to maintain the highest level of ethical conduct in safeguarding sensitive, confidential, financial, HR company informationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAmenable to work in UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)Amenable to work in any shift schedule assigned (rotating shift; but flexible depending on business need)Amenable to work on weekends / holidays depending on business need
