Associate Planner / Production Scheduler

We are seeking an Associate Planner / Production Scheduler to manage a medium product portfolio, network, or division.  You will be responsible for using the master production schedule to generate a viable short-term production schedule that is delivered to manufacturing for execution within the plant. The selected candidate must optimize the detailed schedule to meet service, cost, and inventory objectives.

What You Will Do?

Ensure personal compliance with all company Safety regulations and guidelines, Quality System, and Operational and Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices, including housekeeping procedures

Establish, publish, and distribute daily production plans to optimize product sequence for internally produced items

Use timely and effective communication about manufacturing issues that may result in low plan adherence. This includes providing daily updates to inform internal and external personnel about the master production schedule and open order status exceptions, identifying appropriate replanning and/or recommended courses of action to minimize non-conformances

Analyze past schedules for deviations and work with the Manufacturing management team to determine how to prevent future deviations

Meet KPIs to support the organization’s service, working capital, and cost objectives. Provide formal and informal reports on plant performance, such as backorders, plan adherence, and inventory results

Notify relevant parties and lead corrective actions to resolve inventory discrepancies

Communicate effectively, collaborating with internal plant personnel, planning, and supply chain management

Balance multiple priorities simultaneously to multitask effectively throughout the day.


Minimum Requirements:  

4-year university degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field

Over 2 years of applicable experience in supply chain planning

Experience with common ERP systems and MS Office, primarily Excel

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Requirements:

Experience working in a plant manufacturing environment

APICS certification preferred

Specific experience with planning systems (JDA, SAP, etc.)
