Associate Patient Care Coordinator
Description We are looking for a highly organized and customer-focused Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. This contract position involves interacting with patients and staff to ensure a seamless registration, scheduling, and billing process. The ideal candidate will excel in multitasking, communication, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced clinical setting. Responsibilities: • Schedule patient appointments across various departments using specialized scheduling software. • Provide clear and accurate testing instructions to patients to facilitate smooth service delivery. • Secure necessary authorizations and referrals for medical procedures or consultations. • Conduct patient interviews to collect accurate demographic and insurance information. • Update patient records and systems to ensure compliance with medical guidelines and regulations. • Respond promptly to patient inquiries and billing questions, maintaining a meticulous and courteous demeanor. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate recommendations to management. • Ensure timely and consistent attendance to meet operational needs. • Collaborate with internal departments to address customer issues effectively and enhance overall satisfaction. • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Requirements • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting. • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff. • Proficiency in scheduling software and office functions. • Familiarity with insurance policies, authorizations, and billing processes. • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-pressure environment. • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry. • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including Medicare and reimbursement processes. • Commitment to maintaining a respectful and positive work environment.
