**Your role and responsibilities**
As an Associate Partner - Insurance Sales, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth in partnership with AWS technology consulting services. You will leverage your expertise in cloud transformation, digital modernization, and AWS partnerships to engage with C-level executives, build strong client relationships, and close high-value consulting deals. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS technologies, strong business development skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
• Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow AWS consulting services revenue.
• Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in cloud transformation, application modernization, and AWS-native solutions.
• Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including deal origination, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
• Leverage AWS partnership programs, incentives, and co-sell opportunities to drive business growth.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including CIOs, CTOs, and IT leaders.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business challenges and recommending AWS-based solutions.
• Collaborate with AWS account teams and industry leaders to align consulting offerings with client needs.
Solutioning & Thought Leadership:
• Work with pre-sales, cloud architects, and delivery teams to shape and position AWS-based consulting solutions.
• Stay updated on AWS trends, new services, and best practices to advise clients effectively.
• Represent the company at industry events, AWS conferences, and client workshops.
Partnership & Ecosystem Management:
• Develop strong relationships with AWS Partner Network (APN) teams to maximize joint sales opportunities.
• Drive go-to-market (GTM) initiatives with AWS and leverage partner funding programs.
• Ensure compliance with AWS competency programs and certifications to maintain preferred partner status.
Qualifications & Experience
• 10+ years of experience in technology consulting sales, with a strong focus on AWS solutions.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in cloud consulting services.
• Deep understanding of AWS cloud technologies, including infrastructure, application modernization, data analytics, and AI/ML services.
• Strong network and relationships within AWS, enterprise clients, and industry leaders.
• Experience in structuring large consulting deals and managed services agreements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Relevant Hyperscaler Certifications
Hybrid: Your work location of City, State was assigned based on business need and currently your role designated as a hybrid role. Hybrid roles are expected to perform their primary duties from a combination of IBM location, client sites or work at home. The required number of days to be in the office is to be determined by your management team. Any changes to this work arrangement must be preapproved by your manager before any changes are made.
Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week subject to business needs
