Who We Are

The Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the University of Michigan is recruiting a faculty neonatologist to join our team at C.S. Mott Children?s Hospital at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow in Lansing, Michigan. It offers on-site clinics and inpatient care with nationally ranked specialty teams from C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, one of the nation?s premier academic medical centers. This is a full-time clinical position that combines high-acuity community neonatology with the benefits of a University of Michigan faculty appointment, including access to academic resources, teaching, and statewide collaboration.

The UMH-Sparrow NICU includes a 35-bed Level III unit and a 12-bed Special Care Nursery, with an annual census of approximately 700-800 admissions. The Associate Medical Director will join a strong interdisciplinary team and serve as a key partner in aligning clinical care, protocols, and performance metrics across UMH-Sparrow and Michigan Medicine's broader neonatal network.

Academic Affiliation

Includes a faculty appointment at the University of Michigan, with rank based on experience. Participation in teaching, quality improvement, and statewide collaboration is expected.

Ideal Candidates

 Board-certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Prior experience in NICU leadership or clinical administration preferred Strong interest in QI, systems-based practice, and team developmentAdditional training in healthcare administration, leadership, QI, or Med Ed a plusModes of Work
