As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with the development of tools, processes and documentation to enhance product assembly, testing and quality. You will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with production, quality and engineering teams to support the transition of new products into production and resolve technical issues on the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, assembly procedures and work instructions under the guidance of senior engineer Assist with the design and fabrication of tooling, fixtures and test equipment to improve production efficiency and consistency Participate in the setup, calibration and maintenance of production and test equipment Contribute with the development and maintenance of custom Excel spreadsheets and/or database tools to streamline shop floor or administrative tasks Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with the engineering change control process and help communicate changes to shop floor teams Support new product introduction efforts by helping transfer products from design to manufacturing Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to coordinate equipment calibration or sourcing needs Serve as a junior technical resource to manufacturing personnel, escalating issues as neededQualifications:
Bachelors Degree – Engineering or related field required; Masters Degree – Engineering preferred 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment Familiarity with manufacturing processes, test equipment and data analysis tools Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Eagerness to learn, take initiative and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization, macros, or basic database tools, preferred Ability to travel 0% - 25%
Working Environment:
Warehouse – Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet. Generally well ventilated and well lighted. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.
