Associate Manger/Manager, Marketing, Storehouse Voices - (Hybrid)

Storehouse Voices is seeking a talented and experienced Associate/Marketing Manager to spearhead and execute strategic marketing efforts for our growing list of fiction and nonfiction titles. This role is ideal for a culture-savvy, marketing-minded, and relationship-driven professional who can curate and implement effective promotional campaigns and develop the resources necessary to drive visibility for Storehouse Voices’ authors and titles. 

 

Reporting directly to the Associate Publisher, this role is integral to ensuring that Storehouse Voices’ titles reach and engage a broad audience. The Associate/Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with teams across Marketing, Editorial, Publicity, and Sales, crafting innovative campaigns that celebrate Storehouse Voices’ unique mission and community reach.

 

This is a hybrid position with a minimum requirement of 2 days per week in the office. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Campaign Development: Ideate, develop, and execute innovative and data-driven marketing plans for individual titles and series. Adapt strategies based on market data, consumer trends, and performance metrics.  Asset Coordination: Partner with the design team to create compelling assets for campaigns, including digital content, email marketing materials, social media graphics, and more.  Team Communication: Effectively communicate marketing plans and strategies to in-house teams, including publishing, editorial, and sales departments, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all functions.  Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry best practices and emerging trends on social media that could enhance engagement and sales and use this information to refine and optimize marketing campaigns.  Social Media Management: Work with Storehouse Voices’ community manager on content for Storehouse Voices’ social media accounts and website programs, ensuring a consistent and engaging presence that aligns with the brand's voice and identity. 

 

Specific Responsibilities: 

 

Work with publishing team on positioning: galley, cover, and display copy, publication dates, and publication plans  Support team preparations for preliminary (pre-bid) meetings with authors and agents   Attend pre-launch and launch meetings, review/provide feedback on Title Information sheets   Create and coordinate with internal and external partners on asset development for digital and print campaigns, ads, social media graphics, decks, A+ content, etc.  Engage with key influencers and thought leaders to build brand awareness and extend the reach of Storehouse titles, in collaboration with the Publisher to ensure a cohesive marketing strategy  Organize live and virtual events with key authors, collaborating with Storehouse’s community and the Publisher to promote titles and foster deeper community relationships  Attend weekly Storehouse Voices marketing and publicity meetings, discuss and weigh in on plans—working with Associate Publisher on agendas, budgets, copy, press releases, placements, etc.  Review ad performances weekly; approve extending/ending campaigns  With Associate Publisher, prepare agendas for Key Title Meetings, including late launches, campaign updates, etc.   Work with Associate Publisher to review marketing budgets and title post mortems; track department expenses and title marketing costs 

 

Essential Qualifications: 

 

Minimum of 3 years of experience in book marketing with demonstrated presentation skills and experience working on integrated marketing campaigns; five years of experience to be considered at the Manager level. Strong interpersonal skills, including experience working with editorial, publicity, and sales, as well as working with authors and agents  Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively.  Strong creative thinking and strategic planning abilities.  Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills. 
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and other key stakeholders, both in writing and verbally  Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
Results-oriented, motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently  Proactive and exceptionally organized, with a keen attention to detail. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a deadline driven working environment 
 

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience designing marketing assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva. 

 

This NYC-based role is a hybrid position with in-office responsibilities for a minimum of two days a week in the office. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA). 

 

The salary for the Associate position is $66,500 and the salary range for the Marketing Manager is $73,500-$77,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
