Sutherland is seeking an attentive and analytical person to join us as Associate Manager in Investment Banking Research team to be responsible for providing highly customized investment research support to some of the top Investment Banking and Financial Due Diligence clients in the Sutherland Research practice.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
Managerial tasks include but are not limited to:
Delivery & team management, quality & deadline management, client management, escalation handling and resolution, preparing training materials, transition management, attrition management, succession planning Track deliverables quality and skill level of teammates, providing corrective feedback and coordinate further trainingDelivering the highest service levels to clients and ensuring compliance with internal policies and proceduresMaintain utilization, productivity, and quality standards with respect to client targetsConduct training for the new recruits to the team, and mentoring them ensuring succession planning and provide hands on leadershipPrepare for and conduct governance calls internally and with the client for continual client engagementDelivery tasks include but not limited to
Analyse financial statements of public and private companies in the USSupport client team conducting Inventory appraisals Work involves setting up detailed exhibits/schedules for (includes and not limited to the below)Perpetual inventory ledger/SKU filesHistorical sales and profit reporting by SKU and categoryOperating expense filesBorrowing base filesAnalyse company data/financial statements to identify trendsVerify and validate accuracy of data from financial statementsAbility to interpret, analyse and summarize complex dataPossess excellent written and oral communication skillsShould be able to explain work done to the supervisor and reasons for adjustments made to the workingsShould be well versed with MS Excel, swift in using formulae and functions used in setting financial statements and/or templates for the sameWork professionally and coherently with a diverse group of associates, managers, and subject matter expertsQualificationsTo succeed in this position, you must:
Be a post-graduate in Finance or Accounts or a CA/CMA/ICWA Be a graduate in Commerce/Accounting/Taxation/Banking & Finance along with relevant experienceHave 5-8 years of prior experience in Accounting or Inventory Analysis & Appraisal & or equivalent Be efficient in Microsoft Office products, especially MS ExcelBe able to work in a fast-paced environmentHave strong analytical skills; be able to interpret data, identify trends, and build financial statementsBe pro-active in developing trust and professional rapport with employees and team members; work as a team-playerHave strong verbal and written communication skills; be able to communicate in a clear, constructive, and professional mannerAdditional InformationShift Details:
Production period: 12pm to 9pm (hybrid)Training period (1 month): 12pm to 9pm (hybrid but could involve 4 days working from office – WFO) due to overlap required with client’s time zone Working days: Monday to FridayHybrid Working: 3 days in office and 2 days WAH (work-at-home - Mumbai). This will change as per client and changing business requirements.No planned leaves for first three months to ensure proper learning and development.
