Join our finance team as Financial Controller and play a key role in managing financial operations, reporting, and compliance. You'll oversee accounting processes, tax filings, and financial statements while driving process improvements in a dynamic, multinational environment. This role offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration and career growth opportunities in a global organization.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and execute all financial reporting, accounting, and closing activities for your legal entity, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of actuals for both internal and external (statutory) reporting purposes.
+ Ensure compliance with dsm-firmenich accounting rules, IFRS, and local GAAP to maintain the integrity of financial statements and management reports.
+ Prepare annual financial statements and ensure timely submission of all statutory and fiscal obligations, including VAT, withholding tax, CIT.
+ Monitor and analyze balance sheet accounts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance; proactively resolve open items and discrepancies.
+ Drive the financial closing process, including pre-close meetings, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with group deadlines and quality standards.
+ Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, including variance analysis and financial insights to support decision-making.
+ Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities, auditors, banks, and legal/fiscal advisors.
+ Act as key financial partner to local HR on payroll, employee taxation, and administrative matters.
+ Provide financial support to internal stakeholders (including operational teams outside of Finance) and collaborate with cross-functional teams
+ Work closely with the local finance team (3FTE), the broader FC&A organization, and the wider finance community (including tax, treasury, and financial shared services) to align priorities, support key initiatives, and drive continuous improvement
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance; actively contribute to cross-functional projects and transformation initiatives.

**You Bring:**
+ **Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.**
+ **CA(SA), ACMA CGMA Chartered Qualification.**
+ **Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in a multinational environment, with proven exposure to international financial reporting.**
+ Strong command of statutory accounting principles and technical knowledge of general accounting practices.
+ Solid understanding of fiscal and legal requirements, including VAT, withholding tax, statutory financial statements, and Intrastat declarations.
+ Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
+ Proficient in SAP is an advantage.
+ Analytical, business-oriented, and proactive, with a strong drive for continuous learning and professional development.
+ Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
+ Demonstrates curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on mentality.
+ Team player with a positive mindset and strong sense of ownership.
