ROLE SUMMARY
The Associate Manager – Data Engineering is responsible for managing and maintaining the Digital Analytics Data Warehouse at Majid Al Futtaim Retail. The role focuses on automating analytics insights, ensuring data quality and integration, and supporting the overall analytics strategy. Additionally, the role involves managing external service providers, including contract negotiations, budgeting, and payments.

ROLE PROFILE

Design framework to collect enterprise data from multiple source systems like Realtime, batch and API based into the data lake and design framework for enrichment, consumption and reporting layerBuild processes to monitor and maintain the data lake; monitor the performance and usage of the data lake and perform regular maintenance, including backups and updates to ensure its continued reliability and scalabilityEnsure data enrichment by adding additional information to existing data to increase the accuracy, relevance, or value of the data, making it more useful for analysis or decision-makingSecure the data lake by implementing security measures to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of the data stored in the data lake, such as access controls, encryption, and data maskingPartner with stakeholders by working closely with business leaders, Analytics, Data Science, IT function, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that data is being used to support their initiativesDevelop Data Sharing Platform/framework for sharing data internally with internal stakeholders from different entities and with external vendors for analytics, forecast and monetizationEvaluate available options and choose a vendor that can provide the necessary infrastructure, tools, and servicesSupport on the preparation of business presentations and reports related to Digital Analytics function for various stakeholders, on periodic and ad hoc basis as and when

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field5+ years of experience in data management and digital analyticsMust have experience in Cloud & Big Data (BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, etc.)Must have experience in GCP, SQL, and PythonMust have experience in E-commerce and Retail industryExpert in data integration and ETL (extract, transform, load) processes
